were flattred 66 times last month and received Euro 23.38 in support for
our work. More than half of the support came from the two subscriptions on
our website which gave ~8 Euros each.

On Sunday 16 March 2014 the Pirates of Bavaria were fielding dozens of

trend that is becoming increasingly common in European Pirate Parties, they
are allying themselves with other parties across the political spectrum.

*PPAU CROWDFUNDED AUD 10,000 (EUR 6,500) FOR THEIR UPCOMING ELECTION
<http://piratetimes.net/ppau-crowdfund/http://piratetimes.net/ppau-crowdfund/>*
 *March 18, 2014*
In a press release, the Pirate Party of Australia (PPAU) announced that on
March 10th 2014 they met their campaign funding target for the upcoming
Senate election in Western Australia. PPAU raised the extraordinary sum of
AUD 10,000 (EUR 6,500) entirely through crowdfunding in just under two
weeks.

*PIRATES IN THE NETHERLANDS PREPARE FOR LOCAL ELECTIONS
<http://piratetimes.net/pirates-in-the-netherlands-prepare-for-local-elections/>*
 *March 18, 2014*
The first half of this year will be a busy one for the Pirate Party of the
Netherlands(PPNL). Not only will they compete in the European elections in
May. On the 19 March 2014 PPNL will also participate in local elections for
the first time in its history. They will compete in only four of the
country's municipalities, namely: Amsterdam, Binnenmaas, Groningen and
Zwolle.

*BRUSSELS CALLING: A SIGNIFICANT MOMENT IN THE HISTORY OF PIRATE MOVEMENT
<http://piratetimes.net/brussels-calling-a-significant-moment-in-the-history-of-pirate-movement/>*
 *March 19, 2014*
The Largest International Conference in Pirate History was held this week
in Brussels! More than 300 Pirates from 22 countries, even a few from
outside Europe, have registered for the founding of the European Pirate
Party (PPEU). The founding will tookplace at the "European Internet
Governance and Beyond" Conference in the European Parliament, at the heart
of Europe. A historic and symbolic event, as European Pirates are getting
prepared for the battle of the Euroelections

*THE BAVARIAN PIRATE PARTY WIN SEATS IN LOCAL ELECTIONS
<http://piratetimes.net/the-bavarian-pirate-party-win-seats-in-local-elections/>*
 *March 19, 2014*
The Bavarian Pirates expected a difficult time in the most conservative
state in Germany, Bavaria. In the federal elections they could only get
1.9% and similar disappointing results in the state elections. The hurdles
for participating in the municipal elections is very high and many Pirate
candidates chose to run on open or shared candidate lists with parties that
they shared policy objectives with. The results were disappointing in that
in the whole of Bavaria only 10 Pirates managed to win a mandate.

*THE SWEDISH PIRATE PARTY IS CROWDFUNDING FOR EUROPEAN CAMPAIGN
<http://piratetimes.net/the-swedish-pirate-party-is-crowdfunding-for-european-campaign/>*
 *March 20, 2014*
Just as the Australian Pirates were celebrating their crowdfunding success
we received news that the Swedish Pirates are pursuing a similar
fundraising effort for the European Parliament elections with a page where
Pirates (and other supporters) can make targeted donations. Currently there
are 13 different options to donate to at
http://crowdfunding.piratpartiet.se/ and in less than a week they have
gathered ~5000 Euros through their crowdfunding campaign.

*GREEK PIRATES PARTICIPATION IN EU ELECTIONS DEPENDS ON CROWDFUNDING
<http://piratetimes.net/greek-pirates-participation-in-eu-elections-depends-on-crowdfunding/>
**March
23, 2014*
Considering the awful economic situation that still is making the lives of
the Greek people a misery, it is courageous of the Greek Pirate Party to
plan to take part in the European Parliament elections. The European
Elections will require a more modest sum, namely EUR 16,000. However two
years on from the national elections there is less money in Greek pockets.
In order to make donating as easy as possible, PPGR has set up two web
sites. One for simple donations and another for crowdfunding
